“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38, 39)

Syl became a born-again believer at seven years old, when he saw the transformation Christ had performed in his parents’ lives. His father, who had been addicted to drugs, alcohol, and gambling, was completely delivered. His mother, who had lived a life of fear and searching for answers, became much more confident and secure. When Syl asked his parents what had caused the change, his father sat him down on the bunk bed and explained the Gospel. Syl prayed with his parents and accepted Christ as his Savior that evening.
Syl grew up in Montréal, Québec, Canada, until moving to the United States in 1999, and later becoming a naturalized United States citizen in 2008. He is fluent in both French and English. He served as a church-school teacher and principal in the Montréal area for seven years and now he and Michelle homeschool their son, William. Syl is an avid fan of the Montréal Canadiens, the Dallas Stars, and hockey in general.
Syl and Michelle have been married since 2003. They and their son, William, share a passion for singing praises to God. Their three grown daughters, two sons-in-law, and one grandson all live in the DFW Metroplex.
