Luke & Jessica Caviness

Luke and Jessica are devoted servants of the Lord Jesus Christ and his Church. They strive to be always faithful in the work of the Gospel, and to be used of the Lord to learn, teach, and disciple in any way possible.

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Romans 12:1,2)

Luke was saved at a young age and grew up as an active member at TBC. After college, Luke served in the Navy for several years and met his wife Jessica in California. Being the daughter of missionaries, Jessica was also saved at a very young age and has been serving the Lord her whole life. Luke and Jessica returned to Texas in 2019 with a son (Wesley) and a daughter (Addison) on the way, and they immediately plugged back into TBC and began to serve.

In 2020 Luke was elected deacon and will serve in that position until 2022. Luke and Jessica also serve as Sunday School teachers for the College and Career age group, in addition to serving as the coordinators for Saturday Morning Outreach; in which church members go out into the community to invite people to church and talk to them about the Gospel.

Luke, Jessica, and their two young children enjoy an active lifestyle and take every opportunity to engage in outdoor adventures. They seek to pass on their love for the Lord and knowledge of the Gospel to their young children and train them up to serve the Lord. They strive to keep the Lord as the center of their lives and all their decisions and to present their bodies as a living sacrifice.
